Active wine storage spaces are well insulated and need to be properly constructed. They require specialized air conditioning and cooling systems to maintain the desired temperature and humidity.

When the wine is stored in a cellar, cave or basement, temperature fluctuations and constant temperatures and humidity’s are easier to maintain and sometimes no specialized equipment are needed.
